Bicycle riders can start signing up for Chicago’s new bike sharing system.

The website www.DivvyBikes.com opened today for registration.

Riders can purchase annual memberships priced at $75 or $125.

The first 4,000 people to sign up will become Divvy’s “Founding Members”.

About 75 Divvy docks will be installed in June, when bicyclists will be able to check out the blue 3-speed bikes that made their debut for test rides last Sunday at the Bike the Drive event.

The Chicago Department of Transportation says 300 more docks will be installed by the end of August and 400 neighborhood locations will be installed over the next year.

Annual memberships include unlimited trips up to 30 minutes.
