A new site is being offered as a possible home for Barack Obama’s presidential library.

It’s the site of the old U.S. Steel South Works.

The property’s developer is giving 32 acres to the University of Chicago – that’s plenty of land for a library.

President Obama got his political start in that neighborhood.

The south works property has been idle since 1992, though it hosted a big rock concert – the Dave Matthews Band caravan three years ago.
