DehaanA doctor is in custody and his medical license is suspended after he was accused of fondling a female patient.

According to Des Plaines Police, Doctor Charles Dehaan operated a business called House Call Physician’s Group and beginning in 2009 he was hired to make monthly check ups on a Des Plaines woman.

According to the criminal complaint quote under the pretext of performing a physical medical examination, Dr. Dehaan began fondling the breast and genital area of the victim while exposing himself.

During the course of these examinations the victim had limited ability to prevent these unwanted actions due to her medical condition.

This reportedly happened over the course of a three and a half year period.

In late February Dr. Dehaan was arrested and charged for similar acts in the Rockford area.  The Des Plaines victim heard about what was happening there and then called the local authorities.

Dr. Dehaan is also facing federal charges for Medicare fraud and again pending the outcome of these investigations, his medical license has been suspended by the state of Illinois.  He is charged with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault/Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. He is scheduled to appear before a Cook County judge for a bond hearing Saturday.
