CHICAGO -- There are damning allegations Wednesday night against Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose.

According to the website TMZ,  a woman has filed a lawsuit against Rose, claiming he and two of his friends drugged and gang-raped her.

TMZ reports the woman says she dated Rose from 2011 to 2013.

On the night in question, in August of 2013, the unidentified woman says she was drugged at Rose's home in Beverly Hills, and later attacked at her apartment.

Rose's attorney Lisa Cohen told TMZ  the lawsuit is "an attempt to shake down a highly respected and successful athlete."

"We have complete confidence that the case will be dismissed and that Mr. Rose will be vindicated. This lawsuit is outrageous," said Cohen.

Cohen told TMZ that this is the third attorney the woman hired in order to sue Rose.

The Chicago Bulls released a statement:  "We just learned about this matter and do not know all the facts.  It would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
