CHICAGO- In 14 days the 11-time Tony, Pulitzer and Grammy winning r&b hip-hop American history lesson “Hamilton” will open downtown.

The first production of “Hamilton” outside of New York will begin performances Sept. 27th at the Private Bank theater on Monroe Street.

Yesterday, we met with the Chicago cast, as they kicked off their first rehearsal and wardrobe fitting.  We also got a chance to talk with the “new” Alexander Hamilton, Miguel Cervantes and the only Chicago cast member, Logan Square’s very own Jose Ramos.
