‘Go Cubs Go’ hits Billboard charts after Cubs’ World Series win

CHICAGO — From Wrigley Field to Saturday Night Live and now the Billboard Music Charts – the Cubs are still making history.

The song “Go Cubs Go” is not only the anthem for the World Champion Chicago Cubs now it’s a Billboard hit.

The 1984 Steve Goodman song has debuted at number 21 on the Billboard Pop digital song sales.

It also ranked number 5 on Spotify’s Viral 50 list on Tuesday.

The song got a boost from Anthony Rizzo, David Ross and Dexter Fowler’s performance with Bill Murray on last weekend’s Saturday Night Live.
