Woman charged with DUI in Skokie crash

A woman has been charged with driving under the influence, after she struck and killed a pedestrian with her car.

Skokie police say 32-year-old Larissa Lomax hit a man with her car on Tuesday afternoon.

It happened at the intersection of Main Street and Skokie Boulevard.

57-year-old Alan Rubin died from his injuries.

Lomax has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs and failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Skokie police are continuing to investigate the accident.
