Grant Park is jammed with people tonight, as Lollapalooza 2014 prepares to wrap- day two.
That’s where we find WGN’s Courtney Gousman live to tell us how things are going.
All three days of this festival, sold out. Right now, attendees are trying to savor the final hour of tonight’s concerts. For the 10th year in a row, grant park taken over by Lollapalooza fans.
100-thousand music lovers expected each day. Eight different stages, filled with 150 different acts. Everything from rap to rock, and everything in between, all weekend long.
Last night’s highlights? Lourde, Iggy Azaela, and Eminem, who featured a surprise appearance from Rihanna.
Tonight’s big act? Outkast. Not to mention Nas, Calvin Harris, and “Fitz and the Tantrums.”
So many names, fans are having a hard time choosing where they want to be.
Despite wet and muddy conditions the last few years, only a short shower came through, Friday.
Today’s weather, perfect. And it seems the crowd is on its best behavior. Chicago police in and outside of grant park saying they made only 8 arrests Friday. Attendees will be flowing out of here about 10. Tomorrow, Kings of Leon, Chance the Rapper, and Jhene Aiko round out Lollapalooza 2014.
