People's Gas crews are working right now to restore heat in Chicago's Beverly neighborhood.

It's all part of the effort to repair a broken gas line and other damage from a house explosion.

The line was ruptured by construction people in the 2100 block of 107th Place.

Gas was shut off to about 90 neighboring homes as a precaution. Most have been reconnected.

However, the gas to about 50 homes will be shut off at about 9 a.m. Thursday to let People's Gas finish its work.
