Customer struck by car inside suburban post office

A customer inside the Orland Park Post Office was injured this afternoon when a car crashed through the front of the post office, stopping in the lobby.

The incident took place just after 1p.m. at 9500 W. 144th Place.

According to Orland Park Fired Department Battalion Chief William Bonner, the customer struck in the lobby was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.  No one in the car was injured.

Firefighters inspected the building and found no structural damage.
