Next year is here for Chicago’s baseball teams.
Both the Cubs and the White Sox hit the road for their season openers.
The Cubs come off last year’s playoff run and head out to see the Anaheim Angels at 9:05 p.m.
Cy Young winner Jake Arrieta goes up against the Angels’ Garrett Richards.
For the White Sox, they’re trying to build off a disappointing 2015 season.
That begins Monday night, on the road, against the Oakland A’s.
Two Cy Young candidates take the mound, with Sox ace Chris Sale up against Oakland’s Sonny Gray.
First pitch is at 9:05 p.m.
The White Sox won’t be in Chicago until Friday afternoon when they host the Cleveland Indians.
The Cubs’ home opener at Wrigley Field is April 11.
