Some Chicago Public School students got a special chance to see the new Jackie Robinson movie.

The students were admitted to the Chatham 14 theaters on West 87th Street for a special screening of ’42’.

It was sponsored by the Chicago Cubs in partnership with the Chicago chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

There, they met cast member Dusan Brown who plays a boy who was inspired by Robinson to become a professional baseball player.

#42 was Jackie Robinson’s jersey number.

The movie depicts his life story, including his 1947 signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers, breaking the racial barrier in Major League Baseball.
