A rapper from Chicago was shot and killed in West Englewood.
33-year-old Mario Hess was known as “Blood Money.”
He was the second cousin of rapper “Chief Keef.”
Like his cousin, Hess had just recently signed a recording deal with Interscope Records.
One of his songs — “Thought He Was” — has been viewed 2-million times on YouTube.
At around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Hess was found on a sidewalk near 56th and Elizabeth, shot to death. He was shot over 1o times.
His manager says he was on his way to a recording studio when he was killed.
Another man, 28-year-old Darnell Patton, was also shot and is in serious condition at Stroger Hospital.
No one has been arrested in the shooting.
