Thousands of CPS students have not attended remote learning: report

CHICAGO — Thousands of Chicago Public Schools students have not begun to attend remote classes this fall.

Classes began Sept. 9, but CPS officials said Wednesday that as many at 6900 students are still missing from virtual classes.

However, another official revised that number later Wednesday, saying it’s closer to 2600 students.

CPS employees are now calling, going to homes and handing out flyers in an effort to get kids back in class.
