A Cook County judge was kicked off the bench Friday.
The Illinois Courts Commission removed Judge Cynthia Brim.
Brim was recently found not guilty by reason of insanity of assaulting a sheriff`s deputy.
The ruling states that the commission is sympathetic to Brim’s mental health issues but being a judge requires a high level of mental ability and proper mental function.
