Construction worker in Chicago killed in accident

CHICAGO —  Authorities in Chicago say a worker has been killed at a construction site in the city’s South Loop.

The fire department says the accident happened just before 10 on Friday morning on the 900 block of South State Street.

The fire department says the man was working with high-pressure air when a device malfunctioned and exploded in his face, killing him instantly.

The police department says the name of the 38-year-old man who died has not been released.
