CHICAGO — A construction project delayed by the state’s budget crisis with start up again even though there’s still no state money to pay for it.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel says he’ll find the money to begin work on a new transportation and logistics center at Olive-Harvey College.

The mayor wants the Far South Side center complete by the Fall of next year.

The new center will be a supply hub for all of the colleges.  It will also have automotive and diesel engine labs and simulated driving facilities.

The mayor says it will train Olive-Harvey students for jobs in the transportation industry.
