CHICAGO — A group of local faith and community leaders are calling for a peaceful response to the release of a video that shows a deadly police-involved shooting of an African-American teenager.

17-year-old Laquan McDonald was shot 16 times by a white Chicago police officer, after refusing to drop a knife.

The group plans to meet with Mayor Emanuel later today to discuss efforts that the city will take to ensure a peaceful response.

The city is under court order to release the video by the end of the day Wednesday.
