A Cicero man was shot and killed outside a liquor store on Chicago’s west side this morning.

31-year-old Ricardo Rivera was shot in the head in the 100 block of South Cicero Ave.

Rivera’s father says his son had just come in from drinking with friends last night when another friend picked him up and they went back out.

The father believes a suspect may be in custody, but police will not confirm that information.

Rivera recently graduated college with a degree in criminology and was pursuing a career in law enforcement.
