A three-year-old boy may have been attacked by a coyote on Chicago’s West Side.

Emeil Hawkins suffered bite wounds to his face back on October 27 near Madison and Mayfield.

Emeil’s mother and her boyfriend initially thought the animal was a German shepherd.

When Emeil tried to feed the animal a snack, it became aggressive and bit him.

Emeil has been treated for his wounds and is expected to be ok.

Since the attack, animal control workers have captured four coyotes at the park.

Coyote attacks on humans are rare.
