Chicago police say 3-year-old boy safe with father after abduction alert

CHICAGO — Chicago police say a 3-year-old boy is believed to be safe with his father.

An abduction alert was issued early Friday morning for a 3-year-old boy who was last seen Thursday with his babysitter in the 900 block of West Washington in the West Town neighborhood.

Detectives have been in contact with the father of the boy, who says the 3-year-old is now with him.
