CHICAGO — In a time of turmoil for Chicago police, he’s the man taking over.

And just a few days into his new job, Interim Chicago Police Superintendent John Escalante spoke with WGN’s Gaynor Hall about how he plans to right the ship of the police force, amid widespread calls of a U.S. Department of Justice probe into the department following the high-profile officer-involved shooting that killed 17-year old Laquan McDonald.
