One person is seriously injured following a shooting on southbound I-57 near Vollmer Road Friday afternoon, according to police.
Illinois State Police said troopers responded to a shooting at the above location just before 2:35 p.m. Friday, where one person was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The southbound ramp to Vollmer Road is currently closed for the investigation. No further information is available at this time.
