17-year-old dies after shooting on Far South Side

CHICAGO — A 17-year-old boy has died after a shooting in a home on the city’s Far South Side.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the teen was shot in a basement in the 100 block of East 107th Street around 6 p.m. Saturday in the Rosemoor neighborhood.

Police said he was struck multiple times and transported to Christ Medical in Oak Lawn, where he later died.

The medical examiner has identified the teen as Martinus M. King.

No one is in custody.
