CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy, who was found dead in his Roseland bedroom, has had his death ruled a homicide.

According to police, the teen, later identified as Deshon Reed, was found inside a home in the 0-100 block of West 109th Street. He had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene. Initially conducted as a death investigation, his death was ruled a homicide on Friday.
