CHICAGO — This weekend is bringing with it a hazy Chicago skyline. After an extremely hot day, many people are finding relief by Lake Michigan.

It’s popsicle-licking, lake-jumping, easy-cruising kind of weather on Saturday.

The steam continues to settle over the Chicago area this weekend. We’ve had several days with potentially dangerous heat and humidity. But at Montrose Beach, today, across Chicago’s lakefront there were plenty of people with few complaints.

Important reminders: slow down, drink lots of water. Take it easy.

Don’t forget to check on your neighbors — especially the elderly. Call 311 for cooling centers.
