Once again, Chicagoans are dealing with a snap of cold weather.
And that’s only half the story.
A parade of weather disturbances will bring the city at least three shots for accumulating snowfall this week. The first arriving Monday evening appears to be a minor one with accumulations generally an inch or less. A far more significant storm begins on New Year’s Eve and is expected to produce a prolonged period of snowfall likely to last into Thursday resulting in significant accumulations for the area. Following a frigid, but dry late-week interlude, another round of snow is expected to arrive by Sunday as yet another storm system takes aim at the area.
