Chicago Public Library receives $1 million from Gates Foundation

Mayor Emanuel has announced the Chicago Public Library will receive a $1 million gift from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The money will fund an innovative program in which the library system will partner with libraries in Denmark, to experiment with technologies like 3-D software and 3-D printing.
