CHICAGO –A documentary about the biggest drug lord will not be shown in Chicago.

Concerns over gang violence led the theater to cancel the Friday night showing.

Charlie Minn’s film, ‘Es El Chapo?’ was supposed to open at the Regal Cinemas City North on Western Avenue Friday.

The film questions whether El Chapo is really in police custody.

The extent of the alleged threat isn’t clear, but Minn is now looking for another theater.
