CHICAGO — The path of least resistance is often the easiest to follow, but 2,000 volunteers chose a different path Saturday, one that involved some hard work along the water.
WGN’s Mike Lowe takes to the banks of the Chicago River for Chicago River Day, an annual event where volunteers hit 80 different locations picking up trash and laying down new wood chips to clean up the areas around the river.
