Firefighters rescue Gresham woman from burning building

CHICAGO – A Gresham woman was hospitalized Monday night after she was rescued from a burning building by Chicago firefighters.

First responders say the fire broke out in the 8500 block of South Givins Court in the city’s Gresham neighborhood.

The woman was taken by ambulance to the University of Chicago Hospital in serious but stable condition, paramedics said.

No word on what ignited the blaze.
