CHICAGO — The Chicago Department of Transportation closed part of the DuSable Bridge on Michigan Avenue for “emergency repairs,” impacting rush hour traffic.

Crews were on scene repairing the damaged center median rail on the bridge that stands over the Chicago River.

CDOT said northbound traffic was reduced to two lanes and southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane during the evening rush.

Motorists were encouraged to seek alternate routes.
