CHICAGO – A death investigation is underway after police say a dead body was found in the Chicago River downtown.

According to police, someone observed something in the water in the 400 block of E. River Drive and called 911.

Chicago Police Department, Chicago Fire Department and the Marine Unit were called to the scene. There, the body of an adult male was recovered.

Police have not released the name of the victim.
