Art Institute’s lion statue vandalized with spray paint

CHICAGO — A lion statue outside Chicago’s Art Institute was defaced Tuesday night.

Police said one of the statues outside the museum in the 100 block of South Michigan, was spray-painted by an unknown man around 9:15 p.m.

No other damage was reported, according to police.

No one is in custody and Area Three detectives are investigating.
