CHICAGO — Two people are dead and five others were seriously injured after a crash Sunday morning on the Dan Ryan Expressway in Chicago.
The crash happened just before 2 a.m. in the northbound express lanes near 47th Street.
According to the Chicago Fire Department, all seven people were transported to local hospitals and two people later died.
Illinois State Police didn’t give specific details but said multiple vehicles were involved.
The crash is under investigation by Illinois State Police and additional details haven’t been released.
