A Chicago man has confessed to killing his girlfriend’s mother in Bali, according to Indonesian police.

The body of 62- year- old Sheila von Wiese-Mack was discovered in a suitcase in a taxi outside a hotel on the island last month.

Her daughter, 19-year-old Heather Mack and boyfriend 21-year-old Tommy Schaefer, were arrested in Bali on August 13.

Police say Schaefer confessed to killing his girlfriend’s mother after an argument.

Authorities say Mack acknowledged helping him stuff her mother’s body into a suitcase.

This is a developing story – more details as they become available.
