CHICAGO -- After an aggressive social media campaign, 12-year-old Emily Beazly, a Southwest Side girl facing a difficult cancer diagnosis, talked to Taylor Swift, Wednesday evening.
The phone conversation lasted for about ten minutes and when it was over, Emily had the biggest smile on her face, relatives said.
In the past week, Emily has also had a South Side street named in her honor and she and her sister became honorary Chicago police officers.
But the one thing she really wanted was to meet with her idol, Taylor Swift.
Emily’s mother posted an update on the Facebook Page, Emily’s Entourage, saying Emily spoke to Taylor this afternoon.
