CHICAGO — A Chicago date was noticeably missing from Chance the Rapper’s  latest world tour, and it turns out the popular local artist had something bigger in mind: he’s bringing an entire music festival to the South Side.

The Magnificent Coloring Day festival will bring Chance as well as Skrillex, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Lil’ Wayne, 2 Chainz and more to U.S. Cellular Field on September 24.

“I want this show to sell out COMPLETELY. Bring your Family out, all ages are invited,” Chance said on Twitter.

Billed as the “first-ever” music festival in the home of the White Sox, tickets for Magnificent Coloring Day go on sale to the public this Friday at 10 a.m. and range in price between $35 and $150.

Presale tickets were made available to Citi Card holders and will be available Wednesday for anyone who signs up for the White Sox’s email mailing list before 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to the team on Twitter:

It’s not the first time Chance has joined forces with the Sox. He partnered with the team and New Era to design a limited-edition version of the White Sox baseball cap.

Magnificent Coloring Day also takes place over the same weekend as Common’s Aahh! Fest in Union Park. The two-day hip hop festival was canceled in 2015 but is still on the calendar.

Chicago is a city of many music festivals, and it’s unclear what will set this one apart. One hint may come from an event previously hosted by Chance to celebrate the release of his latest mixtape Coloring Book called the “Magnificent Coloring World.”

Complete with a church choir and coloring books for kids and adults, the all-ages party seemed to reflect the positivity of Chance’s latest work.
