CHICAGO — In the battle over Ernie Banks’ estate, a Cook County judge ordered his caretaker to hand over financial records to his estranged wife.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Regina Rice was told on Friday she has 30 days to share information about Banks’ trust account with the lawyer for Liz Banks. Rice also has to submit records from a joint bank account she had with him, and give details about memorabilia Rice sold on a website she runs.

Ernie Banks left everything to Rice in his will. He died in January at the age of 83.

Lawyers for Liz Banks have suggested he was tricked or forced into disinheriting his relatives.

Both sides will be back in court July 24.
