Frances Cardinal George’s health is a growing consideration for the public engagements he keeps in Lincolnshire this week. He has canceled three appearances since Sunday due. An infection following cancer treatments has been keeping him down.

The Cardinal did not share any information publicly about his health or how he's feeling during a conference in Lincolnshire. He attended a dinner Wednesday night with 80 other bishops from around the country. Cardinal George has been too ill to make it for anything other than the closing event.

Wednesday night was the first time the Cardinal has been seen since the Archdiocese announced his successor Saturday, Archbishop Blase Cupich from Spokane.

Cupich attended the conference this week and toured the seminaries visited pastoral centers and Holy Name Cathedral where he met with all the employees. He stopped at the seminary fundraiser to greet the seminary staff and students as well as guests.

Cupich flies back to his hometown of Spokane WA tomorrow and is expected to address the media Friday.
