CROWN POINT, Ind. There may be a sad break in the search for an Indiana father of young twins who has been missing for a month.

Crews in Crown Point recovered a car from a retention pond Thursday afternoon.

23-year-old Michael Hernandez was last seen at the Safe House Bar and Grill in Crown Point on May 1st. His mother claims he called to say he would be home shortly, but when she got up Saturday morning, he wasn’t there.

Groups search over a two mile radius there at that time but turned up nothing.

Hernandez was last seen wearing a black coat, blue jeans, black shoes and a Blackhawks cap.   He’s 5’8″, 165 pounds and has a tattoo of an Indian with a full headdress on his left arm.

The retention pond is located a mile and a half from the bar Hernandez was last seen.

Officials will be giving an update to the media at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
