CHICAGO -- CTA service is back to normal Monday morning after lightning struck and collapsed part of a Blue Line station's canopy on the city's near West Side.
Trains were halted on the Blue Line Sunday after the pedestrian ramp onto the Illinois Medical District station was hit, and part of the protective covering caved in.

The ramp itself is still intact, but debris from the canopy had to be cleared off the tracks.
A CTA spokesman confirmed that the platform did not collapse.

No one was injured in the incident.
Service on the Red Line and Brown Line were also disrupted Sunday night due to debris on the tracks, but all service has resumed.
Normal service on the Blue Line has resumed after earlier service disruption due to an obstruction (station debris from severe weather).
