LOCKPORT, Ill — A brush fire in the southwest suburbs spread quickly and could be seen for miles during the evening rush hour Wednesday.

The fire broke out in an unincorporated section near Lockport and it spread to a parking lot to several semi- trailers and other cars.

No injuries were reported, but damage estimates aren’t in yet.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
