HOMEWOOD, Ill. — The death of 18-year-old Hunter Craig, whose body was found in a burning vehicle abandoned in a Homewood park, may have been a suicide, according to a report from the Cook County Medical Examiner issued Tuesday.

The Homewood Fire Department was called to Patriots Park, 1200 187th Street, for a car on fire Monday afternoon, and they found the car fully engulfed. After they extinguished the fire, public safety personnel found a human body, according to official reports.

The Cook County Medical Examiner identified Craig Tuesday morning before issuing its latest report that their initial impressions suggest his death may have been a suicide.
