The lead prosecutor in both federal trials of former Governor Rod Blagojevich will be investigating another Governor.

Reid Schar has been hired as special counsel by New Jersey lawmakers investigating the political scandal surrounding Governor Chris Christie’s administration.

The lawmakers are investigating a four-day traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge allegedly intended to punish the Mayor of Fort Lee who did not endorse Christie.

Christie says he was blindsided by the revelations.

Schar is now a partner in the Chicago law firm Jenner and Block.
