CHICAGO — Blackhawks center Teuvo Teravainen recently had quite the response when asked what he thought about Chicago fans’ enthusiasm in taking selfies with the young Finnish star following the team’s Stanley Cup championship.

The 20-year-old Finland native told Finnish reporters he found female Chicago fans quite friendly. Perhaps too friendly, even.

“Female fans (in Chicago) are quite horny. They come really close,” he said, according to reporter Juha Hiitela.

Teravainen was reportedly speaking to media in Helsinki, the country’s capital.

Hiitela wrote on Twitter the original question “was about selfies and how much fans wanted to take those with him and how does it feel.”

Teravainen was drafted 18th overall by the Blackhawks in the 2012 NHL Draft. He scored four goals during the team’s 2015 Stanley Cup championship run and notched six assists — endearing him to Chicago fans to a surprising degree, it appears.
