CHICOPEE, Mass. — Walmart shoppers were met by a shocking sight at a store in Massachusetts.

Right there in the meat department, 17 birds were happily helping themselves to the meat.

The store in Chicopee says the meat was packaged and stored properly, but the birds just pecked through the packages.

Animal-control removed the birds, and the store threw out the meat. It says it’ll impose new safeguards against future bird invasions.
