EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — For the first time, a new Barbie ad features a little boy with two female playmates.
The idea came from a new partnership between the Mattel toy company and Italian fashion house Moschino.
Moschino designer Jeremy Scott says Barbie is the ultimate muse and inspired him to become a designer.
The boundary-breaking campaign may have done its job: the International Business Times reports the two collector’s edition dolls sold out within an hour of going on sale last week.
