CHICAGO – A baby missing for more than a week was found safe Wednesday and her biological mother is now in police custody.

Mikequera Randolph, 24, was seen pushing the 3-month-old Royalty Wolf in a stroller near Francisco and Flournoy Wednesday.

On May 14th, police say she took the child during a visit supervised by D.C.F.S. near 15th and Avers in Lawndale. Authorities had feared the baby was in danger.

In a statement, DCFS said they’re thrilled Royalty has been found safe and the case aide who was supervising the visit has been suspended while an investigation is underway.

Police are questioning Randolph. A police spokesperson says they’re working with the FBI to determine what if any charges are warranted.
