Baby girl found alone in apartment vestibule on South Side

Chicago police are asking for help in finding the parents or guardians of a baby found alone on the South Side.

The girl was found about 11:30 p.m. Friday, wrapped in a purple blanket in the entrance area of an apartment in the 8200 block of South Justine.

She was taken to the hospital in good condition.

The girl is believed to be about one-year-old.

Anyone with information about her or her family’s identity is asked to call the Area South Special Victims Unit at 312-747-8274.
